Our Merlot is from the Stone Tree Vineyard in the prestigious Wahluke Slope Appellation near Mattawa.  Our two-clone blend had smaller berries which intensified the flavors in the wine.  Clone 15 tasted of blueberry and clone 3 of cherry.  Barrel aging with French oak resulted in complex flavors including cherry, blackberry, anise, crushed walnut black pepper and spice.  Soft tannins and a fruit butter finish.
